Grade 70 chain, commonly called binder chain is manufactured to meet ASTM and NACM specifications. Like grade 43 chain its typical uses include container securement, logging, towing, and marine industry. Grade 70 chain is only available in the gold chromate finish and it is stronger than grade 43.  Grade 70 chain also comes in 20' and 25' lengths with hooks on each end and is used when heavier items need to be secured.  It's effective in securing large machinery and pipe. Because of its gold finish it is very recognizable.  It should not be used for overhead lifting.
